Hay noticias que uno espera y que, cuando llegan, igual te sorprenden. Esta es una de ellas.

Nerdmigos, el webcomic y podcast de cultura geek en español creado e independientemente producido por Ismael Alejandro Moreno Ozuna (IAMO) desde Tijuana, México, ha sido nominado en siete categorías de los Latin Podcast Awards 2026.

Sí. Siete.

Los Latin Podcast Awards son el reconocimiento más importante del podcasting en español y portugués, organizados por Audio Dice Network. Este año celebran su décima edición, y la ceremonia de premiación tendrá lugar el 12 de octubre de 2026 en Miami, Florida, durante el Mes de la Herencia Hispana.

Esta es la primera vez que Nerdmigos recibe una nominación.

En palabras de Isma:

"Hacer Nerdmigos ha sido el trabajo más honesto de mi vida. Empezamos con un cómic dibujado en papel de fotocopiadora y muchas ganas, y hoy la Academia de los Latin Podcast Awards nos nombra nominados en siete categorías. Esto no es solo mío: es de cada persona que alguna vez le dio play a un episodio, que nos escribió un mensaje, que nos dijo que somos su podcast favorito. A los miembros de la Academia, gracias por ver lo que hacemos desde Tijuana y reconocer que el podcasting latino tiene muchas formas, muchos acentos y muchas historias que contar. ¡Bienvenidos a Nerdonia!"

Nerdmigos empezó en 2009 con un webcómic y la convicción de que había espacio para el humor geek en español. Se convirtió en podcast en 2021, animado por el creador del podcast Valle de Cielo Gris, Adrián Zambrano, y desde entonces no ha parado. Todo el podcast, desde la grabación hasta el diseño gráfico y la tienda de merch, es producido de manera independiente por una sola persona.

El resultado está a la vista: siete nominaciones a los premios más importantes del podcasting latino.

Este logro es más épico que un crossover de Avengers con Star Wars.

The Latin Podcast Awards are the most prestigious recognition in Spanish and Portuguese-language podcasting, organized by Audio Dice Network. This year marks their tenth edition, and the awards ceremony will take place on October 12, 2026, in Miami, Florida, during Hispanic Heritage Month.

This is the first time Nerdmigos has ever been nominated.

In Isma's words:

"Making Nerdmigos has been the most honest work of my life. We started with a comic drawn on copier paper and a whole lot of passion, and today the Latin Podcast Awards Academy has nominated us in seven categories. This isn't just mine — it belongs to every single person who ever hit play on an episode, sent us a message, or called us their favorite podcast. Nerdmigos launched in 2009 as a webcomic with nothing more than the conviction that there was room for geek humor in Spanish. It became a podcast in 2021, encouraged by Adrián Zambrano, creator of the Valle de Cielo Gris podcast, and has kept going ever since. Every episode — from recording to graphic design to the merch store — is produced independently by one person.

The result speaks for itself: seven nominations at the most important awards in Latin podcasting.

This achievement is more epic than an Avengers crossover with Star Wars.
