"Nerdmigos" creator, Isma (Ismael Alejandro Moreno Ozuna), was a guest on the Diamond Badge PML Podcast to talk about Pokémon and Star Wars fandom!!! 🤓🎧⚡

Isma and Diamond Badge PML Podcast host Mariana Barbará-Olsen talked about all things from nostalgia, movies, fandom and, of course, Pokémania in Mexico the long lost Mexican version production of "Pokémon Live!" (a.k.a. "Pokémon El Espectáculo En Vivo"), presented on May 27, 2001 at Auditorio Nacional, and then televised on August 17, 2001 on Canal 9 in Mexico City.

Diamond Badge PML Podcast is a deep dive into the history of the short-lived, long forgotten stage production "Pokémon Live!" A show that briefly toured the USA during the final months of the cultural phenomenon known as “Pokémania”. Since not an abundant amount of info is known about the show, Mariana talks with cast, crew, creatives, fans and audience members who were there, about the behind-the-scenes process of making the show and untold stories many don't know.

"I had the honor of chatting with my friend Isma; who is the host of the Nerdmigos Podcast.

We chatted about various topics like our love of movies (specifically Star Wars) growing up as well as the music and art culture in Mexico as well the influence of anime in Mexico.

We also briefly talked about the Mexican production in Pokemon Live! and the lost media aspect and resurgence of the South American leg of the tour.

Most importantly we spoke about the origins of Nerdmigos and Ismael's inspirations; and we chatted about the state of fandom and how going forward we as podcasters can bring more level-headedness to fan conversations and conventions.
